Women who have a great idea for a new business or want to take their existing business to the next level may be eligible to receive a business grant from an unlikely source. Hint: It has close ties to WWE professional wrestling.
The grants are being offered by former WWE CEO Linda McMahon. Four deserving women will each receive a business grant of $1,000. The grants are called Ladies Making History grants and are being sponsored by Linda McMahon on behalf of the Ladies Who Launch Organization. Ladies Who Launch is a new media company that provides resources and connections for women entrepreneurs.
Women interested in applying for one of the grants must attend the Ladies Making History Women's History Month event in Stamford, Connecticut on March 20. During the event, Linda McMahon will be the keynote speaker and provide insight about women entrepreneurship. Applications for grants will be accepted at the event.
To be eligible, women must be at least 18 years old and citizens of the U.S. Attendance at the March 20 event is required in order to apply.
