In 1998, WomensNet joined with the entrepreneurial community for women to launch The Amber Grant Foundation. The foundation was established in memory of a very special young woman, Amber Wigdahl, who died at the age of 19 before fulfilling her entrepreneurial dream.
Amber Grants make it possible for women to achieve the dreams that Amber never had a chance to pursue. In 2020, the Amber Grant award amount doubled to $4,000.
The deadline is usually every June. However, applicants can apply for a grant through November and are also eligible for an additional $25,000 grant at the end of the year.
