The Campbell Soup Foundation is one of many private foundations known to provide capital or grant funds to businesses and organizations, including those owned by women. The foundation gives grants for non-profit organizations only.
The foundation supports charitable efforts in more than 20 communities where Campbell has operations. Their areas of focus include hunger relief, wellness, education and community revitalization. Programs that meet grant criteria are those that provide a significant benefit to the lives of people in Campbell Soup communities.
These foundation grants do not have deadlines, but grant requests must be submitted between July 1 and June 30 of one calendar year in order to be considered for a grant within that year. Small business owners must include in their grant request a description of their business, the amount of grant money being requested, what the grant money will be used for, how the grant will help their organization, and who will benefit from the program.
The Campbell Soup Foundation was founded in 1953 and has been supporting community projects since its beginning that support geographic areas where Campbell Soup Company employees live and work.
