A local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation has announced that it has awarded over $1 million in grants to fund 23 different programs at 18 local community non-profit organizations in the New Jersey Area.The organization offers grant funding to programs that specialize in innovative solutions in breast health, breast cancer screening, education, treatment, support and outreach, targeting services not otherwise available to uninsured and medically-underserved women and men in their nine-county service area.
Recipients of the funding awards can only use it to provide the services indicated in each grantee’s program application. In addition, funds must be strictly tracked and may never be mixed with an organization’s general operating funds.
