Massachusetts Women's Club Awards Grants to Non-Profits

Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club
The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club in Wellesley, Massachusetts awards grants each year to local non-profit organization whose services make a positive impact on the community.

The Club focuses on organizations whose services provide educational, elderly, healthcare, recreational, and civic/community opportunities to the residents of Wellesley. Last year, the Club awarded grants totaling $70,000 to 42 organizations who represented a variety of programs to the community. Most of the grants went to to civic/community-oriented organizations and programs and education-related organizations and programs, while 17 percent went to programs for the elderly and 18 percent went to healthcare programs.

The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising funds throughout the year to support grants for local non-profit organizations and college scholarships for Wellesley students. The organization awarded over $140,000 in scholarships and grants in 2013.

The organization holds five fundraising events every year, including The Phone Book, Wellesley Marketplace Craft Festival, Luminary Night, The 5K Wonder Run and the Kitchen Tour, which raises money to support both grants to non-profits and scholarships for local students.
