Connecticut Foundation Offers Grants to Non-Profits

Main Street Community Foundation
Main Street Community Foundation awards grants to any non-profit organization that serves the interests of residents in the communities of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott, Connecticut. It is open to small businesses and other organizations owned by both women and men who qualify.

Any non-profit business can apply for a grant. Eligible fields include arts & culture, community development & outreach, education, health, human services, environment, and animals. In general, small businesses interested in applying for grant money must have a goal to solve problems within the community, add to an existing program, generate funding or increase efforts among other non-profit organizations.

There are grants available for projects that specifically benefit Plainville, grants for enhancing student learning in the Region 10 school district, grants to improve the lives of women and girls, and grants for special initiatives.

The grants are sponsored by Main Street Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds to support the needs of six communities in Connecticut. Their efforts to seek donations from corporations, individuals, and other organizations makes it possible to improve communities today and continue to make them a better place to live tomorrow.
