Ms. Foundation Launches Small Business Grants for Women and Girls of Color

Ms. Foundation, the nation's oldest women's foundation recently launched the “Ms. South” Grant. The foundation plans to strengthen the financial sustainability and leadership development capacity of women and girls of color in the U.S. South.

The Ms. Foundation for Women transforms U.S. democracy by building women’s collective power. Guided by gender and racial justice lens, they resource grassroots movements that center women and girls of color, advance feminism in philanthropy, and advocate for policies that improve women’s lives across the country.

Since 1973, the Ms. Foundation has invested over $65 million to build grassroots movements fighting for gender equity, particularly for women of color around the country.

The Ms. Foundation's mission is to build women’s collective power in the U.S. to advance equity and justice for all. Their mission is achieved by investing in and strengthening, the capacity of women-led movements to advance meaningful social, cultural, and economic change in the lives of women.
