Joann Stores, an American specialty retailer of the largest selection of crafts and fabrics, has launched the Minority Creative Grant program to give away $100,000. The grant program will award $5,000 each to 20 Black and minority entrepreneurs to help support creative businesses and help them to maintain their standing in the sewing community.
In addition to the $5,000 in merchandise credit, recipients will receive special offers, learning opportunities, and a chance to become a paid instructor on Creativebug - the company's digital learning platform.
Winners will also be featured in the company's marketing and social media channels to help gain visibility and support for their work.
