It's not unusual today for celebrities to become entrepreneurs and own their own businesses. Here are 10 female celebrities whose names you'll know but maybe not be aware that they also have their own businesses outside of entertainment.


  1. Jessica Alba - co-founded The Honest Company in 2011 which makes eco-friendly baby products.
  2. Oprah Winfrey - founded Harpo Productions, her own television network, and "O," the Oprah magazine.
  3. Gwyneth Paltrow - founded Goop in 2008, which sells fashion and home products, an organic skin care line, and a web site and newsletter offering recommendations on style, food and health.
  4. Gisele Bundchen - this supermodel launched her own line of beauty products in 2011 called Sejaa Pure Skincare.
  5. Kate Hudson - this actress owns Fabletics, a line of fashionable sportswear for women. The company recently added dresses and swimwear to their line.
  6. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - these former child stars now own three successful clothing lines: The Row, Elizabeth and James, and Olsenboye.
