Sarah Lee and Christine Chang are glowing after winning a $425,000 deal on Shark Tank. They are founders of a natural Korean beauty company called Glow Recipe. At first, the sharks thought they were just distributors, until the two entrepreneurs explained how their experience in the beauty world led them to create their products using the best ingredients from Korea.
10 years in the making
The entrepreneurs spent 10 years perfecting their product line. They call themselves 'curators,' which means they are the brains behind the skin care products' amazing results. Their products include sheet masks, very popular among celebrities, and online tutorials on how to use their products. Together, they have more than 20-years of experience in the beauty world, including previously working at L’Oreal, Korea.
Lee and Chang brought samples for the sharks to try; the sharks admitted their products felt different than other beauty products, kind of creamy and rubbery at the same time. They were impressed enough by the product and the thoroughness and expertise of both entrepreneurs that they gave them a deal.
