Women in Aviation International (WAI) is a nonprofit organization that provides networking, education, mentoring, and scholarship opportunities for women careers in the aviation and aerospace industries. Their aim is to promote public understanding of notable American women in the aviation industry.
WAI also offers educational outreach programs to educators, aviation industry members, and young people nationally and internationally. Every year, they host a Girls in Aviation Day program for girls ages 8 to 17.Applications for their scholarship program are usually due in October each year, and the scholarships are awarded during the Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
