Company Behind Aunt Jemima Products Launches Program to Inspire Black Women and Girls

The Pearl Milling Company, maker of the 132-year old pancake mix and syrup products formerly named Aunt Jemima, has launched the P.E.A.R.L. Pledge to help Black women and girls across the U.S.

P.E.A.R.L. Pledge is a multi-year program with a mission focused on championing the success of Black women and girls across the country. The trademark will award $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.

As part of its rebranding, Pearl Milling Company is committed to fulfilling its promises to continue delivering the same great-tasting products enjoyed for over a century, and they are committed to community impact, the trademark developed P.E.A.R.L. (Prosperity, Empowerment, Access, Representation, and Leadership) Pledge as a podium to help address societal obstacles faced by Black women and girls.

The grants will range from $25,000 to $100,000 and will be awarded based on several factors, including how the chosen organizations will use the funding.
