When it comes to businesses owned by women, female entrepreneurs are challenged with diversity. That includes one of the hottest industries now, growing and selling weed. One organization is working to change that.
Women Grow
Women Grow is a national women’s cannabis networking group. It's goal is to bring together women investors with cannabis growers and dispensaries and legal experts to create a more level playing field for women to break into the cannabis industry. You might say their goal is to cultivate not only cannabis but women entrepreneurs.
Reaching out to women
The company was founded in Denver in 2014 by Jazmin Hupp, whose business experience includes launching six companies in retail, eCommerce, business services, and media. The organization now has 22 chapters across the country and continues to reach out to women who are knowledgeable and desiring to become cannabis industry leaders.
The company is led by experienced business women, attorneys, media consultants and other professionals who all share the same objective, to fight sexism in the cannabis industry and cultivate a woman-friendly environment for women who want to invest in the cannabis industry.
