Women Entrepreneurs NYC
To demonstrate just how important women entrepreneurs are to the economy in New York, the city has launched a new initiative called Women Entrepreneurs NYC, or WE NYC. Their goal is to reach 5,000 women entrepreneurs and small business owners over the next three years. WE NYC is an entire program that teaches strategies to help women start, operate, and grow a business in New York City and also offers free business courses and assistance with finding financing.
Program supports women-owned businesses
The new program provides all kinds of resources that help women navigate their way to become business owners. Their web site posts information on solutions to business problems, tips for rising female entrepreneurs, and the latest data on women entrepreneurs in New York. WE NYC focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs across New York, especially underserved women and families.
As Frank Sinatra once sang, "If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere." If women-owned businesses can make it in a large metro city like New York, it is a strong testimonial to other women business owners across the country that they can make it, too.
