SBA Hosting Free Weekly Webinars For Women Entrepreneurs Interested in Getting Federal Contracts

Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program,
If you are a woman who owns your own business and want to expand by securing government contracts, this webinar program is a must! Every Tuesday and Thursday through June 26, 2014, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be hosting a series of webinars aimed toward women business owners.

What are the webinars about?

Doing business with the federal government is a critical opportunity for small business owners who want to take their business to the next level. This series of webinars is focused on teaching women-owned companies in particular how to transition into the federal marketplace. They are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Each hour-long webinar will provide valuable information that teaches women entrepreneurs how to go about doing business with the federal government. The sessions will be taught by SBA officials who will also be available to answer questions. Registration is free.

Important changes for women

The webinars follow the new National Defense Authorization Act of 2013, which made important changes to the SBA Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program, the program that helps women-owned small businesses get more federal contracts. The new law removes the $6.5 million limit on manufacturing contracts and $4 million for all other contracts for women-owned businesses; there are no longer any limitations or restrictions on federal contracting opportunities.
