The Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF) formed in 2008 through the merging of two organizations who provid support for Hispanic entrepreneurs in Florida. The organization is now dedicated to help both women and men who are Hispanic entrepreneurs. The non-profit organization focuses on economic development in the state of Florida.
The organization is now larger and able to help more small business owners in the state. Help is in the form of grants, technical assistance and management training for Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their business. Businesses who have been helped by the organization include online stores, restaurants, animal grooming shops, wineries and more.
HBIF partners with various government agencies, community organizations and corporations to raise awareness and support for local entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurial grants are one way in which they can contribute toward small business owner success. Another way is workshops, working with small businesses to provide business counseling, and resources for ongoing business financing.
Hispanic women and men who need assistance establishing or growing their own businesses will find programs available at HBIF to help the Hispanic business community reach its entrepreneurial dreams.
