Jewish Women's Foundation Awards Largest Grant In It's History

The Jewish Women's Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago

The Jewish Women's Foundation has 16 funds -- 13 in the U.S. and 3 in Israel -- whose mission is to expand opportunities for Jewish women and girls. By awarding grants through their Jewish Women's Collaborative International Fund, they are able to change the lives of Jewish women and girls across the world.

Recently, The Jewish Women’s Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago awarded $349,890 to 21 projects. One project was awarded a historical $75,000 grant. The $75,000 grant covers three years at $25,000 a year. It is one example of the level of commitment the organization has shown to Jewish women and girls.

Each year, the organization awards grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 for projects that include women's health and safety, increasing women's economic status, and promoting education and leadership among Jewish women.

The Jewish Women's Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago (JWF) was formed in 1997 and is one of the largest Jewish Women's Foundations in the country. The non-profit organization has awarded over $2.4 million to 118 projects since its beginning and continues to raise money to improve the lives of Jewish women and girls in the U.S. and Israel.
