New Jersey S.E.E.D. Grant Program for Women Open for 2015

Women entrepreneurs in the state of New Jersey may now begin submitting applications for the 2015 S.E.E.D. Grant Program. The program, offered by The Women's Center for Entrepreneurship Corporation and the New Jersey Department of State, Office of Faith-Based Initiatives, gives five cash awards every year to deserving women entrepreneurs.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be women who have been in business in the state of New Jersey for less than six months or are in the business planning stage. Five cash awards will be given, ranging from $1,500 to $7,500. Ten finalists will be asked to present their business plans. Five will be chosen to receive grants.

Deadline and how to apply

The deadline to apply is May 4, 2015. To apply, applicants may submit an application, a written business plan, information on how they will use the grant money, and a resume for preliminary selection.

The grants are awarded by The Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship. The non-profit organization serves the needs of women entrepreneurs across New Jersey through grants, education, consulting and entrepreneurial training.
