Future women engineers

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering and science.

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

WIE offers several grants — The Frances B. Hugle Scholarship, named after a pioneering engineer who started several Silicon Valley companies and The Edith Hannigan McHale Scholarship, awarded annually to female students at John Adams High School in Ozone Park, New York.

The recipient will receive a $1,000 award and The 2U Scholarship program, available only to students at George Washington University, American University, Syracuse University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of California, Berkeley. Awardees can receive up to $10,000 to use toward tuition.
