$500K in Grants to Fund Job Opportunities for Single Moms During Pandemic

The Mom Project is allocating $500,000 to help fund the employment of moms across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant funds are eligible for existing Mom Project customers to extend existing contractors or hire for new roles within the community.
Why moms? The impact of COVID-19 clearly affects everyone, but research shows that single mothers in particular are having a difficult time.

Pre-existing discriminations such as the motherhood penalty and the gender wage gap are only be impaired even more by this pandemic. The organization's web site says that "now is the time to ensure the success of moms in the workplace. Our families, our workplaces, and our economy depend on it."

The Mom Project, which has tennis champion Serena Williams on board as a strategic advisor, is committed to helping women remain active in the workforce in every stage of their journey, and they’re proud to work with employers who are committed to designing and supporting a better workplace.
