Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has publicly announced that The Canadian Red Cross will receive $100 million from Ottawa to help various groups struggling during COVID-19.
The Canadian Red Cross has played a key role in supporting Canadians during this crisis, by helping both individuals and communities during these economic hardships.
The support will allow the Canadian Red Cross to continue its efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The prime minister also revealed that the Government of Canada has promised an additional $15 million to assist female entrepreneurs through the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy.
The money will be distributed directly to handpicked organizations that are currently WES Ecosystem Fund recipients aiming to help women entrepreneurs through the COVID-19 crisis.
