The Mary Kay Foundation Domestic Violence Shelter Grant

The Mary Kay Foundation
Each year, the Mary Kay Foundation awards grants to women's domestic violence shelters across the U.S. Applications are open from January 15 to April 30 each year.

One domestic violence shelter in each state receives a grant every year. The Foundation awarded $20,000 grants to more than 150 women's domestic violence shelters across the nation in 2012 totaling $3 million. The grants help the shelters continue to provide valuable services to protect women and their children who are victims of domestic violence.

The Mary Kay Foundation formed in 1996 and has awarded over $34 million in grants to domestic violence shelters since its beginning. The Mary Kay Foundation is the charitable arm of Mary Kay Inc., a worldwide cosmetic company started by Mary Kay Ash in Dallas, Texas. The company offers over 200 products in 35 countries.

Applications for the 2014 Domestic Violence Shelter Grants will be available on the company website beginning January 15.
