Organizations That Award Grants for Women’s Empowerment Projects

Black women empowerment

More and more women are realizing that they can do anything they set their minds to, and that what they want should not rely on who, or what structure is holding them down. Because of this, women are going after their goals - whether that be starting a business or non-profit, going to school, advocating for other women.
Educated women tend to be healthier, and work and earn more income - an education can save millions of lives. Since organizations are comprehending how much women can do for the world, there are now thousands of non-government organizations that focus on women and girls. Whether a first-generation college student, or a novice entrepreneur, there are plenty of donors that support and give grants for women’s empowerment projects.

Organizations that Provide Women Empowerment Grants:

They emphasize improving the lives of women and their families, by empowering them to move out of the shadows and step into public dialogue. They fund promising work, urge grantees to communicate with one another, and educate the general public to change their behavior toward Avon’s goals.

They work to ensure that more girls enroll in school that is in a safe, and supportive environment. Although this is not an individual specific grant, this organization empowers millions of girls with their ability to award grants to countries that need help.

* Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights
These grants aren’t for entrepreneurs, but instead for women who are women’s rights defenders in Asia, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, and North America. Activists can apply for grants up to $5000. Although this may not be for a woman trying to go to school, this organization provides important grants for women’s empowerment projects and movements.
