Women Investing in Nebraska (WIN) Awards Grants to Local Non-Profits

Non-profit organizations in the state of Nebraska whose work benefits either the local or state community may be eligible for a grant from the Women Investing In Nebraska (WIN) organization. Last year, the organization awarded two grants of over $77,000 each, and the deadline for applying for the next grant is March 1.

To qualify, businesses must be located in the state of Nebraska and provide a service that has a significant impact on the community or state. Past recipients of grants have included programs that support women interested in information technology, programs that support young people who have grown up in foster care, and programs that help prevent child abuse.

Each year, the organization's goal is to increase the amount of money awarded in grants. To qualify, organizations must be designated as non-profits. To apply for a grant, they may submit an online letter of inquiry. They will then be notified if they are eligible to apply formally for a grant.

Women Investing in Nebraska (WIN) is part of the University of Nebraska Foundation's Women in Philanthropy subcommittee, a non-profit organization. It's mission is to empower women through education and engagement that will help them achieve their goals in helping others.
