Western Union Foundation Grants Help Non-Profits Focused on Education and Vocational Training

Western Union Foundation
Non-profit, non-government organizations around the world may be eligible for business grants from the Western Union Foundation. Eligible businesses must be focused in the areas of secondary education and vocational training. Grant opportunities are open to both women- and other-owned, non-profit businesses and non-profit organizations.

The Western Union Education for Better program awards grants to organizations that increase educational opportunities for communities around the world. Organizations can include small businesses, foundations, universities, and others that provide services that improve the lives of people in global communities. Services can include education, job training, life skills and small business development, financial literacy, community assistance, and educational assistance to migrants, immigrants and their families.

Past grant recipients have included women's development and finance organizations that help disadvantaged women in Nicaragua to start their own business, organizations that provide microloans to small business owners in rural South Africa, and programs that teach children in the Philippines a trade so they can support their families.

The grants are sponsored by the Western Union Foundation, the charitable arm of Western Union, a leader providing financial payment services around the world. Grants are awarded in the areas of education and training, financial education, and small business development and training.
