Women Business Owners Invited to Participate in the 2nd Annual Urban Rebound-Los Angeles Business Pitch Competition

Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence
Count Me In and Sam's Club Giving Program are again inviting women business owners to participate in the second annual Urban Rebound-Los Angeles business pitch competition. Winners will receive nine months of free business coaching and training, cash prizes and other gifts.

Women who own their own businesses can submit a video where they pitch their business. The pitch includes the name of the business, location, how long they have been in business, number of employees, description of product or service, and what their future goals are for their business. One hundred finalists will be selected to attend the 2013 UR-LA Conference and Competition to compete in the final pitch competition.

Up to 80 women will be selected to receive a 6-month Business Accelerator Program, along with a cash prize to help build their business. The Business Accelerator Program includes group coaching and training in topics of importance to women business owners who want to build their business.

Eligible business owners must be women who own at least 50 percent of the business, have annual revenues of $50,000 to $750,000, be in business for at least one year, and desire to grow their business 30 percent in the next 18-36 months.

The contest is sponsored by Sam's Club Giving Program, and Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence, a non-profit organization that provides resources, business education and community support for women entrepreneurs in the regions of Los Angeles, California; Brooklyn, New York; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
