AAUW Grants Support Equality for Women

American Association of University Women
American Association of University Women (AAUW) supports education and equality for women and girls with fellowships and grants. With a a national network of 100,000 members and donors, 1,000 branches, and 600 college/university institution partners, AAUW is a leading source of information and programs that support equality for women around the globe.

AAUW has provided more than $90 million in both fellowships and grants to thousands of graduate women around the world and is a leading source of funding for women. Both one-year and two-year grants are available through AAUW.

Women who start community-based projects that promote education and equality for women and girls through a clearly defined activity may be eligible for a one-year grant. Women who need start-up funding to begin new projects that are needed in the community and are also designed to promote education and equality for women and girls may be eligible for a two-year grant. Special consideration is given to projects focused on women's achievements in science, technology, engineering or math.

Those who apply must be women who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. All projects must take place in the U.S. and non-profit businesses must be based in the U.S.
